Post-doc for Biologist – Institut Pasteur , Paris (02/2024)

An 18-months postdoctoral position is available in my group at the Institut Pasteur (Paris, France), starting from July 2024. We investigate the molecular mechanism of archaeal virus DNA replication combining computational, molecular and structural biology, biophysics, virology, and proteomics approaches.

We are looking for a highly motivated, team-oriented individual to characterize the interactome of viral and cellular DNA replication factors in virus-infected Sulfolobales cells. The post-doctoral fellow will optimize pull-down assays to analyze the DNA replication interactomes in virus-infected and non-infected-cells, and will test the enzymatic activities of the purified or reconstituted complexes. The group is hosted in a friendly and dynamic environment with extensive opportunities to learn new techniques and establish collaborations. We have access to all technical platforms of the Institut Pasteur, which are excellently equipped.

The post-doc will be co-supervised with Dr. Mariette Matondo (Pasteur Proteomics Facility) and in collaboration with Dr. Ludovic Sauguet (DNA replication group, Institut Pasteur).

Required qualifications:

• A PhD in molecular biology, protein biochemistry, or structural biology. Experience in proteomics would be a plus but is not mandatory.

• Good interpersonal skills.
