The ARISTEiA-Institute for the Advancement of Research & Education in Arts, Sciences & Technology is inviting applications for the Interdisiciplinary School for Environmental Crisis (ISEC), which is taking place on December 16-22, 2023 in Edipsos-Euboea, Greece.
The aim of the ISEC is to foster interdisciplinary dialogue for addressing environmental crisis-related problems by merging top science experts and both undergraduate and graduate students of the following disciplines:
1. Environmental Sciences
2. Medicine & Life Sciences
3. Engineering
4. Economics and Business
5. Law
6. Social Sciences
The course is offered tuition-free for 20 undergraduate and 20 graduate students from Greece and abroad, who will be selected based on criteria of academic excellence to participate. Hotel accommodation and bus transportation between the Athens International Airport and Loutra Edipsou-Euboea will be covered by the organizers.
The course has two main components. The 1st component includes in-class lectures on various topics of basic and applied research. The 2nd component pertains to development of interdisciplinary culture and problem-solving skills, which will be exercised through student group projects that will focus on real local problems. Finally, career development sessions have been scheduled aiming to facilitate exploration of career options and appropriate preparation of the student participants.
