The Department of Biology, University of Crete , in collaboration with the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (IMBB ), announces the 12th International Course

“Care and Use of Laboratory Animals: mice, rats and zebrafish” 🐭🐀🐠, to be held in April–May 2026.

🔬 This intensive course is addressed to professionals, PhD candidates and postgraduate students in the Biomedical Sciences who are involved in the design and implementation of animal experiments.

📘 The course content fully complies with the requirements of European Directive 2010/63/EU and the recommendations of the Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations (FELASA).

🗓 Application deadline: March 20, 2026

💻 Theoretical part (online): April 6 – May 20, 2026

🐭 Practical part (on-site): May 25–29, 2026
