5th Interdisciplinary School for Environmental Crisis (ISEC)

Each March, ARISTEiA brings up to forty outstanding students to Euboea, Greece – a region devastated by wildfire 3 times in the last 20 years – and puts them in a classroom with twenty of the world’s leading researchers in engineering, biosciences, medicine, law, economics and the social sciences. They attend lectures far outside their own training, work in mixed teams on real environmental problems facing the island, and present their proposals on the final day.

The course is free for all students that are selected via a merit-based process perofrmed by 30 international faculty, and every instructor waives the honorarium they would normally receive.
